Nine Mile Vet Wins Prestigous National Award!

Nine Mile Vet Wins Prestigous National Award!

Sarah started her dermatology clinics at Nine Mile in late 2010 and has been a great asset to the team. Both clients and staff alike have been very impressed with her knowledge and treatment of skin cases. This has been recognised in a national competition in which she has won first prize!
The Novartis Animal Health sponsored competition named "Best in Practice" was judged on an individual vet's ability to investigate, diagnose and treat challenging skin cases - particularly those of allergic dermatitis.
Sarah successfully submitted several cases, all of whom were deemed "outstanding" by Novartis and earned her first prize in the competition which was a Nikon D3100 SLR camera which she will use to capture photographs of her skin cases both before, during and after treatment.
When asked what inspired her to enter the competition Sarah explained "The camera was a fabulous prize and when you are using a camera daily to take pictures of skin lesions and demonstrate the revolutionary changes that can take place in an animal both before and after treatment - a good camera becomes an essential piece of kit - and will allow me to showcase the work I am doing here".
Sarah was also one of only three vets in the UK who last year qualified with the highly respected Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Dermatology."
